NCD’s new C1D2 certified long range wireless door open closed detection sensors offer the an industry first for long range wireless IoT sensors designed specifically for use in hazardous environments.  With C1D2 Group A, B, C, and D certification, this long range wireless door open closed detection sensor is specified for use in hazardous environments where potentially explosive gasses, dust, fibers, or  flammable vapors may be present.  This includes hazardous gases and vapors that may contain Acetylene, Hydrogen, Ether, Ethyl, Ethelene, Gasoline, Acetone, Ammonia, Benzene, Butane, Methanol, and Propane.  NCD’s C1D2 certified sensors are the only long range wireless products available on the market today that may be used in chemical plants, oil and gas refineries, paint shops, cleaning facilities, mills, flour silos, mining, and loading facilities for flammable gases, liquids, and solids.

With an integrated antenna and up to a 2-mile range using a wireless mesh networking architecture, this sensor incorporates a 900MHz 128-Bit AES encrypted transceiver that sends data at user-defined intervals over long distances to a wireless gateway. This IoT Door Open Closed Detection Sensor goes to sleep between transmissions to minimize power consumption and prolong battery life, waking about every 15 minutes to provide the gateway with an update.  This device also wakes up from sleep if a change is detected on the sensor inputs, such as a door or window open or closed condition.  This ensures the sensor stays in regular contact with the gateway while also providing alerts to a newly detected open or closed condition.  Up to 10 years of battery life may be achieved depending on environmental conditions and the transmission interval you choose.

NCD Industrial IoT Wireless Door Open Closed Detection sensor works like a Wireless push notification transmitter, making it easy to receive alerts when state change is detected.  This sensor uses a magnet and a magnetic switch, detecting a open or closed condition based on the proximity of the magnet.  This Long Range Industrial IoT Wireless Door Open Closed Detection sensor comes with up to two detection probes attached to a 4.5 Meter cable, sending a transmission if a magnetic open or closed condition is detected.  Receive an alert when a window or door is opened, receive a different alert if a window or door is closed.  This Industrial IoT Wireless Door Open Closed Detection sensor device is ideally used in security detection applications that need a reliable long-range wireless communications. Use this sensor to receive an alert when critical doors or windows are opened or closed to help monitor critical areas.

This sensor is typically used in security applications and sends an alert when the included magnet(s) are brought near the included sensor(s).  Additionally, when a magnet is moved away from the sensor(s), another alert is reported.  Applications for this sensor include security monitoring of windows, doors, gates, and loading bays and may be used to help notify of activity in security sensitive areas.  Receive an alert for any application that can accept a magnet moved to and from proximity of the included sensor(s).

This Industrial wireless water detection sensor is designed to consume extremely low power and send data at extremely long distances of up to 2 miles with an integrated antenna.  Powered by just 6 AA batteries with a operational lifetime of 500,000 wireless transmissions, you can expect to achieve up to 10 years of battery life depending on environmental conditions and the transmission interval you choose.
