This product is being released . Not all of the functionality has been documented. The documentation that does exist can be found at: https://ncd.io/quick-start-guide-for-the-ncd-enterprise-iiot-gateway/.
Documentation will be created and improved before final release. Let us know any particular information you are looking for so we can improve the documentation and get your application running inline with best practices.
The Enterprise IIoT Gateway is designed to make deployment of your next IIoT installation simple, effective, and customizable. With built-in Node-Red capabilities for no-code integration into new and existing cloud/SCADA systems, web based security and access management, SSH access to the Debian OS for full customization, as well as VPN and Remote Management options this Edge Computer will make your next deployment seamless.
While the configuration and connectivity options are highly configurable, all you need to do to get up and running out of the box is connect the IIoT Gateway to your network over ethernet, go to your edge computer’s IP address or URL, and tell node-red where to send the sensor data. From Azure, AWS, Ubidots, Losant, direct injection into an SQL or NoSQL database, Ignition SCADA and many other options the compatibility list is endless.
The Enterprise IIoT Gateway was built in partnership with Robustel, a long time provider in Industrial Cellular routing solutions, on the EG5120 Industrial Edge Gateway.

The Enterprise IIoT Gateway comes with two Ethernet ports, WiFi AP or client capabilities, and onboard cellular connectivity.
The default configurations are built for ease of access and standard installations in mind, but every portion of the network connectivity is built with customization in mind.
By default ETH0 will act as a client to an existing network for LAN and Internet Access. ETH1 will act as a router and lets the Gateway create its own downstream DHCP enabled network with optional access controls. This functionality can be completely configured as desired to allow ETH0 to be its own new network, ETH1 to act as a client to a secondary network, bridge networks between ETH0 and ETH1, or disable the interfaces entirely.
The onboard WiFi supports both client and access point modes in 2.4GHz and 5GHz bandwidths. Supported WiFi standards are: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. This means that this device will maintain compatibility with existing and WiFi hardware and technologies far into the future. SSID, password, visibility, and configurable security protocol help keep this our most secure gateway to date.
By default WiFi will be configured to act in AP mode to allow for easy access and configuration from any wifi enabled computer.
The built in cellular architecture automatically detects the most popular cellular SIM cards and sets them up to connect and communicate over the network. If you’re using a more obscure cellular provider there are settings built into the web interface to allow for additional AT commands to ensure compatibility.
The built-in DigiMesh module allows this gateway to talk to our entire line of Enterprise sensors and any other DigiMesh device in the area. With a 2-mile range and self regulated mesh networking to hop data between intermediaries this technology is ideal for IIoT sensor data in busy industrial and commercial environments. Operating in the 900MHz or 868MHz range keeps the traffic off of the highly populated 2.4GHz band used by wifi and bluetooth and helps ensure signal fidelity.
Node-Red is a browser based no code/low code tool to connect hardware devices to each other as well as to cloud and database infrastructures. Every sensor packet creates a message which flows down the connected nodes which can alter that message to suit your application, package it into a new protocol such as MQTT, or send it directly to your cloud.
Azure, AWS, and many other IoT service providers have pre-existing nodes. Just install the node for your preferred endpoint, enter your security credentials, connect it to the Sensor Node and hit Deploy.
Coming soon. SSH access, firewalls, customizable passwords, customizable networking options, etc.

Compatibility Notes
When using an 900HP-S3B communication module, it is essential that you use the ZIGMO_PCB to configure the module settings. Long-Range wireless sensors may be programmed over the air without removing the communications module.
A 900HP-S3B Modem or a gateway of some kind that support the 900HP-S3B communications module will also be required.
This device periodically sends UDP Packets on port 13,000, which help identify the IP address of this device on your network.
NCD will be closed on May 29th for Memorial Day. Orders placed during this time will be processed the next business day. Dismiss
