IoT Long Range Wireless Pulse Frequency Meter Sensor
Introducing NCD’s Long Range IoT Wireless Pulse/Frequency Meter, boasting up to a 2 Mile range using a wireless mesh networking architecture. It samples frequency and duty cycle and internally adjusts its time base to maximize output resolution and minimize error. The complexities of adaptive frequency measurement are completely abstracted from the user, as this device delivers full pre-processed transmissions on at a user defined interval. This device enters a ultra-low-power state between transmissions to preserve battery life.
This IoT Wireless Pulse/Frequency Meter has an additional feature of detecting change in frequency and duty cycle at user defined detection time intervals and sending out data if the change is greater than a preset range. This change detection feature can be enabled/disabled by the user and works for both frequency and duty cycle against a single change in percentage and detection time configuration. To minimize power consumption, the sensor sleeps during the time it is not detecting a change. Both of these features work in parallel to support multiple application areas in one package.
Powered by just 2 AA batteries and an operational lifetime of 500,000 wireless transmissions, a 10 years battery life can be expected depending on environmental conditions and the data transmission interval. Optionally, this sensor may be externally powered.

When using an 900HP-S3B communication module, it is essential that you use the ZIGMO_PCB to configure the module settings. Long-Range wireless sensors may be programmed over the air without removing the communications module.
A 900HP-S3B Modem or a gateway of some kind that support the 900HP-S3B communications module will also be required.
