Industrial IoT Wireless Air Quality CO2 Temperature Humidity Particulate Matter Sensor
Introducing NCD’s Long Range Industrial IoT Wireless CO2 Temperature Humidity Particulate Matter Sensor for Air Quality Monitoring with an integrated temperature humidity sensor, boasting up to a 2 Mile range using a wireless mesh networking architecture. Incorporating the Particulate sensor, CO2 sensor and temperature humidity sensors, this wireless IoT sensor transmits highly accurate Co2 concentration, particle size, mass concentration, temperature and humidity samples at user-defined intervals.
CMOSens® Technology for IR detection enables highly accurate carbon dioxide measurement at a competitive price. Along with the NDIR measurement technology for CO2 detection, a best-in-class humidity and temperature sensor is also integrated on the same sensor module. Ambient humidity and temperature can be outputted by Sensors’s algorithm expertise through modeling and compensating of external heat sources without the requirement for any additional components.
Thanks to the dual-channel principle for the measurement of carbon dioxide concentration, the sensor compensates for long-term drifts automatically by design. The very small module height allows easy integration into different applications.
PM2.5 and PM10 refer to particulate matter with particle diameter up to 2.5 microns and 10 microns respectively, which are among the most dangerous air pollutants. Due to their small size, PM2.5 particles can travel deep into the human lung and cause a variety of health issues; including asthma attacks and are known for contributing factors for cardiovascular disease. The SPS30 will enable the implementation of innovative air quality monitoring devices that prevent air pollution damage. This Particulate Matter Sensor is designed to measure PM1.0,PM2.5,PM4.0 and PM10.0, providing a particle count for each size indicated. After every 256 transmissions, the integrated fan spins up to high-speed to clean the internal laser sensor. A manual cleaning operation may be triggered during device configuration.
Particle measurement is based on laser scattering technology. This technology, together with high-quality and long-lasting components, enables accurate measurements from the device’s first operation and throughout its lifetime of more than eight years.
The on-board temperature sensor is rated for -25°C to 85°C or -13°F to 185°F and the humidity sensor is rated for 0 to 100% RH (non condensing). Powered by just 6 AA batteries and a 3 years battery life can be expected depending on environmental conditions and the data transmission interval. An external power supply is supported by special request.
With an open communication protocol, this IoT wireless Particulate Matter Sensor for Air Quality Monitoring can be integrated with just about any control system or gateway. Data can be transmitted to a PC, a Raspberry Pi, to Microsoft Azure® IoT, Amazon AWS, Losant, and MQTT servers or to local Arduino processors for special handling. Sensor parameters and wireless transmission settings can be changed using an open communication protocol providing maximum configurability depending on the intended application.
The long range, price, accuracy, battery life and security features of Long Range Wireless CO2 Temperature Humidity Particulate Matter Sensor for Air Quality Monitoring makes it an affordable choice which exceeds the requirements for most of the industrial as well as consumer market applications.
Note: Minimum data transmission interval is 30 seconds. High data transmission rate will drain the battery in a short period of time.
Default data Transmission interval is 1Hr.
There is no better Long Range Industrial IoT Wireless CO2 Temperature Humidity Particulate Matter Sensor for Air Quality Monitoring with temperature humidity sensor on the market today. Nothing compares with the long range, the price, the accuracy, the battery life, or the security features we have to offer.

Not for use in outdoor applications or for use in excessive temperature conditions. Prolonged freezing will prevent batteries from functioning until thawed, using extended temperature range industrial batteries may improve the useful temperature range. Extended freezing applications should use a full-time powered solution. Prolonged exposure to extreme humidity conditions may damage this device. The sensing element is rated for use for 5 years and may be replaced. Exposure to high temperatures may cause the batteries to leak, causing permanent damage to this device. NCD Warranty does not cover battery corrosion or use in excessively smoky environments under any circumstances.
This device has been validated with NCD Micro Gateways.
