Long Range Wireless Sensors
Our long range wireless enterprise series sensors are an easy to use and reliable start to any data aggregation application. This video will demonstrate how they work, what they do, and how to use them.
Industrial IoT Wireless Strain Gauge Sensor Transmitter
Introducing our state-of-the-art wireless strain gauge transmitter, designed to provide unparalleled accuracy and reliability for all your strain monitoring needs.
This transmitter boasts a wireless mesh networking architecture that provides an impressive range of up to 2 miles, ensuring that you can monitor your strain data from almost anywhere. With its 16-bit strain gauge sensor, this transmitter can transmit highly accurate data at user-defined intervals, allowing you to stay on top of changes in your system.
This all-in-one strain gauge transmitter can send both computed results and raw data for further processing on the user end, thanks to its built-in FFT. Additionally, it features acceleration calculation, velocity calculation, and time domain data analysis for FFT, and a user-configurable data aggregation interval ranging from 1 to 10 seconds.
The strain gauge transmitter samples 2048 samples on each axis and then calculates RMS and maximum strain readings. It combines this information with temperature data in a data packet and transmits the result to modems and gateways within wireless range. Once the transmission is complete, the transmitter goes back to sleep, minimizing power consumption.
This wireless strain gauge transmitter is powered by six AA batteries, with an operational lifetime of 500,000 wireless transmissions. A 10-year battery life can be expected, depending on environmental conditions and the data transmission interval. Additionally, the transmitter can be externally powered, making it an ideal choice for wireless strain monitoring systems for industrial equipment.
With its open communication protocol and hardware-encrypted data transmission, this wireless strain gauge transmitter can be integrated with just about any control system or gateway. Data can be transmitted to a variety of platforms, including a PC, Raspberry Pi, Losant IoT cloud, Microsoft® Azure® IoT, and an embedded system, all at the same time. Sensor parameters and wireless transmission settings can be changed using our free LabVIEW® monitoring software on a desktop PC.
Affordable, accurate, and packed with features, our wireless strain gauge transmitter is an ideal choice for both industrial and consumer market applications. The long range, price, accuracy, battery life, and security features of this transmitter make it a top-of-the-line choice for all your strain monitoring needs. Order yours today and experience the convenience and accuracy of wireless monitoring!

Strain Gauge Sensor Monitoring Applications
- Load Testing – Strain gauge sensors are used to test the load capacity of structures such as bridges, cranes, and buildings. By measuring the strain on these structures, engineers can determine their load capacity and ensure their safety.
- Manufacturing – Strain gauge sensors are used in manufacturing to monitor the strain on various components and ensure their quality. For example, they may be used to monitor the tension on a material during a production process or to measure the force on a component during assembly.
- Process Control – Strain gauge sensors are used in process control to monitor the strain on various components such as pipes, tanks, and vessels. This allows engineers to optimize the process and ensure the safety and reliability of the equipment.
- Industrial Machinery – Strain gauge sensors are used to monitor the strain on various components of industrial machinery such as turbines, pumps, and motors. This allows engineers to detect any changes or damage to these components and take corrective action before a failure occurs.

Not for use in outdoor applications or for use in excessive temperature conditions. Prolonged freezing will prevent batteries from functioning until thawed, using extended temperature range industrial batteries may improve the useful temperature range. Extended freezing applications should use a full-time powered solution. Prolonged exposure to extreme humidity conditions may damage this device. The sensing element is rated for use for 5 years and may be replaced. Exposure to high temperatures may cause the batteries to leak, causing permanent damage to this device. NCD Warranty does not cover battery corrosion or use in excessively smoky environments under any circumstances.
