WiFi AC Current Monitor for Amazon® AWS®
We set out to build the world’s best WiFi AC Current Monitor for Amazon® AWS®. In doing so, we now incorporate a precision Split Core AC Current Monitoring Sensor with our WiFi Module and Control Board. This WiFi AC Current Monitor makes it easy to monitor AC current flowing through the sensor and receive alerts when the AC current value exceeds the preset limits. This WiFi AC Current Monitor for AWS IoT samples current at a high data rate and calculates the RMS value. Next, the device sends a data transmission to the Amazon AWS cloud where the user can access that data. Therefore, the user can monitor the AC current flowing through their equipment from any location via WiFi by using the AWS cloud to view incoming data.

Setting up and using your sensor has never been easier. After following the product user guide listed under the resources tab, you will be able to configure your sensor’s settings over WiFi as well as use it’s testing capabilities through AWS® IoT Core®.
Once you have an account on AWS, you will be able to configure the sensor with NCD’s browser interface which will automatically open for you once you are connected to the sensor through it’s WiFi module.
Another easy way to configure the settings on your device is to use AWS® IoT Thing Shadow®. Most of your sensor configuration can be done here from the cloud making it remotely accessible.
Testing with AWS is time efficient and easy. The WiFi Temperature Humidity Sensor User Guide found under the resources tab will lead you to the MQTT client like in the following screen. The MQTT client is where you will be able to control the interval of transmission and see the data from the sensor.
This device sends data periodically based on user-preset timing intervals. This sensor does not use batteries, therefore the user does not need to adjust the transmission interval with the intention to save battery life. This gives the user more leeway when choosing transmission intervals.
