Overview
Beta
The Atrium Gateway is a brand new to market product for NCD. As of November 4th 2025 it is being released. However we want to add the caveat that this is a Beta release. This hardware is tried and true. We have been selling the Robustl EG5120 under the branding of our Enterprise IIoT Gateway for years. The software however is completely new and needs user testing. Over the air updates have been implemented but we have had limited testing by users. Help us make this product great by being one of the pioneers to explore this powerful new product.
Connectivity
The Atrium Gateway comes with two Ethernet ports, Wi‑Fi AP or client capabilities, and onboard cellular connectivity for reliable connectivity in any environment.
Ethernet
By default ETH0 will act as a client to an existing network for LAN and Internet access. ETH1 will act as a router and lets the Gateway create its own downstream DHCP enabled network with optional access controls. This functionality can be completely configured as desired to allow ETH0 to be its own new network, ETH1 to act as a client to a secondary network, bridge networks between ETH0 and ETH1, or disable the interfaces entirely.
WiFi
Cellular
The built-in cellular architecture automatically detects popular cellular SIM cards and sets them up to connect and communicate over the network. If you’re using a more specialized cellular provider there are settings built into the web interface to allow for additional AT commands to ensure compatibility. Cellular connectivity ensures reliable data transmission even when Ethernet or Wi‑Fi are unavailable, making the Atrium Gateway ideal for remote or temporary installations.
DigiMesh
The built-in DigiMesh module allows this gateway to communicate with our entire line of Enterprise sensors and any other DigiMesh device in the area. With a 2-mile range and self-regulated mesh networking to hop data between intermediaries, this technology is ideal for IIoT sensor data in busy industrial and commercial environments. Operating in the 900MHz or 868MHz range keeps the traffic off of the highly populated 2.4GHz band used by wifi and bluetooth and helps ensure signal fidelity.

Node-Red
Node-Red is a browser based no code/low code tool to connect hardware devices to each other as well as to cloud and database infrastructures. Every sensor packet creates a message which flows down the connected nodes which can alter that message to suit your application, package it into a new protocol such as MQTT, or send it directly to your cloud.
Azure, AWS, and many other IoT service providers have pre-existing nodes. Just install the node for your preferred endpoint, enter your security credentials, connect it to the Sensor Node and hit Deploy.
