The NCD Custom Water Detection Device is a dedicated interface module designed to detect the presence of water using a connected water detection probe. This device continuously monitors the probe’s sensing contacts and wirelessly reports detection events to an NCD Gateway, providing early warning of leaks, moisture intrusion, or unexpected water accumulation in remote or hard-to-access locations.
Serving as the core of the water detection system, this device supplies the interface circuitry required for reliable probe-based detection. When water bridges the probe’s sensing points, the interface immediately registers the event and transmits an alert. This simple yet highly effective method makes the device ideal for equipment rooms, pump areas, refrigerated spaces, enclosures, floors, and any environment where water poses operational or safety risks.
The unit is housed in a rugged Polycase outdoor-rated enclosure, ensuring durability in both indoor and exposed environments. When integrated with the MASEN Basic Hardware Kit, it mounts securely to tripods, poles, or metallic surfaces, allowing for consistent and dependable field installation.
